Ten days from now, St George's Day will be marked across England. Or will it?

St George's Day - April 23
The debate has raged for years on why the English don't celebrate the day of their patron saint as passionately as the Irish, the Scots or the Welsh.
In Leek, of course, traditional St George's Day entertainment has stood the test of time, and this year will be no different.
As the 23rd this year falls on a Monday, the local celebrations will take place next Saturday - the 21st. The town centre will host a live jazz band, a hog roast and a classic car display, which will make its way along Derby Street.
The celebrations will also coincide with the food and antique markets.
Do you intend to celebrate St George's Day? If so, how? Do you think more should be done to turn the day into a patriotic celebration?
If April 23 became a public holiday, how would you spend it? Let us know by taking part in our poll at www.leekpeople.co.uk/polls.
