Remember remember, the 5th of November. But where to go for a memorable bonfire night this year?
There are plenty of events in North Staffordshire this year
There are plenty of big firework displays in North Staffordshire this November, all within easy reach of Leek.
Getting the ball rolling, on Friday November 4, is Trentham Gardens. Organised by the Rotary Club of North Staffs, the firework display will take place over the mile long lake at the Garden.
There will be refreshments and live performers to keep people entertained until the fireworks begin at 7.30pm. Limited advanced sale tickets are still available - priced at £5 for an adult or £16 for a family ticket - from www.trentham.co.uk.
On the same evening, Alton Towers stages the first of it's three consecutive nights of fireworks.
The theme park is open all day on each of the three days, and the fireworks begin at 7pm. Details and booking information can be found at www.altontowers.com.
On bonfire night itself - which this year falls on a Saturday - Rudyard Lake will host it's firework and laser show. Tickets are available from the Ranger's Office, or by calling 07718 808881.
Also on the 5th is Stoke-on-Trent's biggest display at Fenton Park. Gates will open at 5.30pm, with people advised to arrive by 7pm at the latest to ensure entry by 7.45pm - when the fireworks will commence.
Urban entertainment, funfair rides and foodstalls will mean there will be plenty to keep the kids occupied. Admission is £5 per person, with under 5s getting in for free.
Over in Kidsgrove, the Clough Hall Park display also takes place on the 5th. Gates here open at 6pm, with the fireworks starting at 7.45pm. Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for children and £12 for a family ticket, and are available from the Kidsgrove Rotary Club website.
Where will you be spending bonfire night? Are you attending or organising a display that we have missed? If so, let us know about it!
